Tranmere Rovers have today offered professional contracts to Cole Stockton, Jake Kirby and Will Vaulks.
The three are all second year Apprentices and part of Shaun Garnett’s under-18 team.
Stockton is an 18-year-old striker who has been with the Club since joining the under-14s. He spent time on loan at Vauxhall Motors this season and is top scorer for both the reserves and youth teams.
Kirby, 17, is a versatile attacking midfielder who joined the Club’s Centre of Excellence at under-8s. He has featured regularly for the reserves this season.
Centre back Vaulks spent time on loan at Cammell Laird earlier this season. The 18-year-old joined Rovers at the age of 10.
Head of Youth and Centre of Excellence Shaun Garnett said: “I’m delighted for all three – it’s always a special day when you’re offered your first professional contract.”
“They’ve now got to make sure they continue the hard work that got them this far.”
Tranmere first-teamer Danny Holmes, who was in the same position as his younger Prenton Park colleagues 5 years ago, tweeted;
“@WillVaulks colestockton JakeKirby94 made up for you lads! Gutted for the others!”
