Trials Quartet Featured On Sky Sports News

Dexter Burt (Brentford), Luke Cummings (Cardiff City), Liam Bellamy (Charlton Athletic) and Shane Cusack (Colchester Utd) expressed their defiance on Sky Sports News last week with all four vowing to do their best to make it back in to the professional game having just been released by their Clubs at the end of the Apprenticeships.

The four were in determined mood as the spoke to the Sky Sports Camera’s before and after the trials and they backed it up on the park with some eye catching displays.

Bellamy who put in a sterling shift down the right hand side in his match said:

“I know that I am good enough to be a professional footballer, it’s just getting that break – it didn’t work out at Charlton but hopefully it’ll work out elsewhere.”

While Burt is convinced that it’s time to move on, he added:

“You see the people in front of you and you think maybe you’re as just as good as them but it’s the Managers opinion you have to deal with that and you’ve just got to move on.”

And with Scouts like Martin Hinshelwood (Brighton & Hove Albion, Director of Football) and Mark Stow (Watford) complimenting the quality of the players on show the four have every chance of proving that one Club’s loss could be anothers gain.
