Leyton Orient U18s 3 – 1 AFC Wimbledon U18s

Leyton Orient’s youth-team returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon.

The O’s U18’s who had lost their previous two home matches going in to the game never looked in any danger of falling to a third consecutive defeat once George Wickings opened the scoring on 21 minutes.

Billy Lobjoit then added a second before Harry Lee hit a decisive third goal after insert name had pulled the Dons back in to the game.

Orient started the match well and enjoyed the lion’s share of possession prior to making the breakthrough with Wickings finishing from close range after Lobjoit’s free kick was helped on by Rob Nash.

The O’s quickly doubled their advantage and again it was from a set-piece, as Lobjoit hit an unstoppable effort in to the top left corner from outside the box.

Two nil down at the interval Wimbledon looked dead and buried but a goal from William Bor within 60 seconds of the re-start threatened to spoil the O’s party.

Buoyed by the goal the South Londoners pressed forward in search of an equaliser. But Lee add a fine solo goal late on to seal the points for Orient and give them their third win of the season.
