Thursday was game day and everyone knew about the game. We watched Clayton State vs Lander first, a bit of a shock result really because Lander beat Clayton State 1-0. We played at 7pm in freezing conditions of 27 degrees fahrenheit.
The game was live on the internet for people to watch back home in England and there was a massive crowd of about 800 to watch the match. We started really well, much better than Sunday, and won the game 3-0. We played much better, faster football and the best team won. We’re now through to the last 16 in the country and we play Lander in the next round.
On Friday we rested all day and during training we received treatment if needed. The starting 11 trained with the rest of the lads and played yellow jersey – we won for once! We then just chilled out in the evening, we went into Boone to do some shopping and then we watched a movie.
