Fresh from the Stade de France, Progression 08 is very pleased to welcome David Bentley as supporter and visitor to the event.
David joined Arsenal Youth Academy when he was 16 where he spent a year as a scholar before signing a four year professional contract at the age of 17. After spending a season on loan to Norwich City, he went on to join Blackburn Rovers in 2006 having seen his opportunities at Highbury limited.
Now seen by many as the natural successor to David Beckham on England’s right wing, Bentley was included in Fabio Capello’s first England line-up against Switzerland last month.
A rapidly rising star in the game, David is equally aware of the need for education and employment options for those leaving the sporting industry and is a great supporter of Progression 08.
