Over 25 different exhibitors will be in attendance at the City of Manchester stadium for Progression 08. As well as the education establishments previously announced, we will also be joined by a large number of employers. As more and more industries and businesses are realising that there is a relatively untapped pool of potentially excellent employees out there – there’s no better time to engage with this event as either an exhibitor or participant.
Kay Scholes is the Resourcing Manager for Contact Centres within the Carphone Warehouse who are just one of our major exhibiting companies. She says:
“We are well aware that there is a huge field of available talent who, due to their apprenticeships or ongoing sporting careers, previously may have found it difficult to expand their study opportunities or to find an alternative career. We are excited to be exhibiting at Progression 08 which we believe is the start of an exciting partnership.”
It’s fast becoming widely understood and discussed outside the sporting industry that most athletes cannot stay active in their sport for the duration of their working life and only a few are financially recompensed well enough to not have to find another vocation when they exit their game. Therefore we, as potential employers, have an independent, highly disciplined, physically fit pool of potential talent just waiting to be accessed.”
“Progression 08 is just the beginning of bringing hidden talents to fruition.”
