Portsmouth youngster George Colson has won a trial at Premier League side Stoke City.
The Pompey midfielder who’s solitary appearance for the club came in last August’s 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat at Plymouth was told recently that he would be released at the end of this season as Guy Whittingham firms up his plans for next term.
The 19-year-old who featured in LFE’s goal of the month competition last year when still an academy player had until recently been on loan at Bashley. He came on as a late substitute for the Potters Under-21 side last week in their 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers in the Barclays U21 Premier League.
