O’Boyle Enjoys Dream Sulphurites Debut

Current LFE second-year apprentice Finn O’Boyle stole the headlines on Tuesday evening as he scored on his professional debut for Harrogate Town in their 2-1 triumph over Morecambe in the Papa Johns Trophy.

O’Boyle netted the equaliser in the 28th minute, turning smartly inside the box and crashing his low driven effort into the bottom corner. The 17-year-old also made a piece of history with his goal, becoming the first Academy player to score a First Team goal for the club.

O’Boyle said on Instagram: “What an amazing feeling to have made my professional debut for Harrogate Town. Happy to grab a goal and a win.”
