Former Birmingham City apprentice and LFE learner Jude Bellingham today completed his move from Borussia Dortmund to Spanish giants Real Madrid for a fee of £88.5m. He becomes the world’s third most expensive teenager in history.
Bellingham has signed a six-year contract with the fourteen time UEFA Champions League winners.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise to stardom having only made his senior debut in football for Birmingham City in August 2019 at just sixteen years of age.
Since then, the England international’s career has been on a constant upwards trajectory, with the Stourbridge born youngster becoming a cult hero for Borussia Dortmund during his three-year stay in the Bundesliga.
Speaking upon his arrival in Madrid, Bellingham said it was the “proudest day of his life” joining the “greatest football club in the history of the game.”
