Ryan Sessegnon has returned to Fulham on a two-year deal following the expiry of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former LFE apprentice and Cottagers Academy graduate joined Spurs in 2019 for £25m following a meteoric breakthrough into Fulham’s first team.
He emerged as one of England’s brightest young talents in the 2017/18 season, a campaign in which he took home five accolades from the EFL Awards.
The full-back was named Championship Player of the Season, Championship Young Player of the Season, LFE Championship Apprentice of the Season and was also named in both the Championship Team of the Season and the EFL Club Developed XI, all at the age of just 17.
A huge move to Tottenham followed a year later, but Sessegnon’s five-year stay in North London was hampered severely by injuries, appearing for the Premier League outfit just 57 times in five seasons.
“It’s amazing to be back. Emotional, as well,” said the former England Under-21 international.
“It’s where it started for me, where everything began.
“It will always be home for me. I think it had the feeling that it was meant to be, coming back here, so I’m delighted to get it done.”
