Global Showcase and Placement Opportunities in the USA and Australia
LFE has secured Government-backed Turing Scheme funding to send up to 30 released apprentices to the USA (16 places) and Australia (14 places) on a 16-day showcase and placement programme.
This is an amazing opportunity to access (at no cost to you) realistic playing opportunities in high-quality professional leagues, providing a unique chance to continue your progression within the professional game, as well as support your personal development.
What is involved?
If selected, you would receive:
- A fully-funded 16-day trip to the USA (Florida) or Australia (Melbourne) in November/December 2024 (including flights, accommodation, meals etc).
- Opportunities to showcase your ability to professional scouts and coaches via series of games versus local opposition.
- Extended placement opportunities at local professional clubs.
- A series of workshops and social/cultural activities to develop life skills and aid personal development.
LFE Support
Via our delivery partner, Varsity Nine, we will provide a full preparation programme, to include:
- Practical information (e.g. itinerary, what to take, travel visas, insurance etc).
- Logistical information (i.e. travel, accommodation etc).
- Objectives (i.e. playing opportunities, other progression routes, development of life skills).
- Requirements from you (e.g. participant diary, attendance at workshops, consent forms, code of conduct).
