Pilgrims Snap Up Gray

Plymouth Argyle have secured the signing of free agent Andre Gray on a short-term deal until January.

The former Shrewsbury Town apprentice’s most recent club was Al-Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League where he netted seven times in 26 apperances.

The striker, who has found the net on nearly 200 occasions across a 15 year professional career to date, joins Wayne Rooney’s side who currently sit 18th in the EFL Championship.

The 33-year-old has represented Jamaica at the international level on 13 occasions, with three goals for the Reggae Boys on his CV.

After Gray’s move to Plymouth was confirmed, Wayne Rooney said: “Andre is a striker of real quality and has played and scored goals at the highest level. He will provide competition in forward areas as we head into a busy period of the season, and I am really happy to have him here.”
