LFE is deeply saddened at the passing of George Baldock, a former apprentice who graduated through the MK Dons academy before going onto represent a number of clubs in the EFL.
Reflecting on his memory of George, former youth coach and Head of Education at MK Dons Simon Dwight said: “George was a wonderful young man who I had the privilege to know and work with from a young age and watch develop as a footballer, an athlete and most importantly a tremendous person. He was well respected by his Academy teammates and the staff who worked with him. He was a key member of the MK Dons Academy family and alumni.
“His talent and temerity shone on the pitch and as he grew as a young player through the experience of loans he finally embedded himself in the MK first team making his earliest ambition a reality achieved superbly. After leaving, seeing him every week on the TV achieving in the steel town of Sheffield was fantastic to behold.
“Always one to smile and ask how you were, George was a wonderful human being first and foremost. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.“
