Sunderland Apprentices Complete Work Experience

Sunderland AFC apprentices last week completed two days of work experience at businesses in a range of different industries across the north east.

Discussing the scholar’s work experience, Sunderland Academy Player Care Lead, Evie Innes said: “We had boys in Specsavers, Castle Construction, the Foundation of Light, a primary school, secondary school, car dealership, South Shields FC media department, and more. Club staff went out to visit each boy during the two days and got some really good feedback. Some of the primary school reception kids were asking for one of the boys the following day!

“We did prep with the boys, expectations, what to wear, etc to prepare them for the world of work and the feedback we have gathered has been positive. Its really linked to the work Adam Whitehead has been doing through the LFE around Personal Development and we have concluded with some good goals for the boys to be working on following their experiences.”
