Ipswich Town have signed Jaden Philogene from Aston Villa for a fee of £20m.
The 22-year-old former apprentice has put pen-to-paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal at Portman Road.
Philogene came through the ranks at Aston Villa before being sent out on loan to Stoke City and Cardiff City respectively.
In the summer of 2023, Philogene was then sold to Championship side Hull City for £5m. Following an impressive season with the Tigers, Aston Villa resigned him for £18m. However, just seven months later, the versatile forward man has departed Villa Park once again.
Discussing his move to Ipswich Town, Philogene said: “I’m excited to be here and I know there are great players in the squad.
“I just want to play as much as possible. As a player I like to dribble and link up play and provide goals and assists. I’m looking forward to it.”
