Mark Soboljew

In the summer of 2006 Mark graduated to the professional ranks after his two year apprenticeship at Port Vale. His dedication and intelligent approach had earmarked him as one for the future during his apprenticeship.

Mark successfully achieved his NVQ in Sporting Excellence, L2 FA Coaching Certificate and Key Skills, but perhaps his greatest accomplishment was achieving grades A and B respectively in PE and History A-levels while balancing the demands of academic study around full time training.

Now challenging for a first team place Mark says:

“I hope to have a successful career in football but I’ll also study in my spare time so that I have alternative options if I ever need them. Either way my apprenticeship has given me the belief that I have the ability to be successful in whatever I do.”
