Darlington Boss Mixes Youth & Experience

Darlington

New Darlington boss Colin Todd has revealed he will attempt to rebuild his squad with a mixture of youth and experience ahead of next season’s League Two campaign.

Todd faces the tricky task of reviving the fortunes of a team that has lost a string of top players. He will be working on a greatly reduced budget at the Arena, but is relishing the challenge.

He said,“There’s a lot of work to be done here to build a team to win matches, but that’s the challenge for me and the players.”

The former Bradford City and Middlesbrough manager is confident he has the necessary attributes to steer the Club forward, with or without financial backing and has his sights set on the young Quakers,

“We have four or five young players here who will get opportunities, which will give the Club continuity.”

“There is a lot of negativity at Darlington because of what the Club has been through. We have to bring back a smile to faces and be positive,” he added.
