Friday was to host our final game in Holland.
We had reached the third place play-off tie and were matched against Wycombe Wanderers and fortunately we won 1-0. It was an evenly matched game in which we felt we deserved to win, possibly by more than one goal!
In the afternoon, we watched the final which involved Watford and Walsall. It was a very entertaining game that actually reached extra time following a 1-1 scoreline after the full 90 minutes. The final moments of normal time saw a saved penalty and several good chances in extra time in which Watford scored.
After the final we had three hours of free time, in which most of the lads were packing and trying to fit everything in their suitcase to get ready for the early flight back home.
After a great two weeks, we’re now ready for the final evening’s entertainment of Karaoke and BBQ.
Although we’ve enjoyed our trip to Holland, the team are now prepared and focused on the new season ahead.
