FA Youth Cup

This season’s FA Youth Cup 1st round qualifying matches kicked off last week with Mansfield, Rushden & Diamonds, Torquay, Wrexham and York all recording impressive victories.

While, Oxford United also sailed into the next round with an 8 – 0 home victory over Fleet Town. Les Taylor’s side dominated from the start and marked their outstanding performance with a flurry of goals from Chris Fower, Sam Deering, Ian Sampson, Marvin Martin and Richard Groves.

1st Round Qualifying

  • Loughborough Dynamo 0 – 9 Mansfield Town
  • Fleet Town 0 – 8 Oxford United
  • Rushden & Diamonds 9 – 2 Leighton Town
  • Bridgwater Town 0 – 2 Torquay United
  • Northwich Victoria 0 – 7 Wrexham
  • York City 5 – 0 Whitley Bay

Second round qualifying starts next week and includes the following fixtures:

2nd Round Qualifying

  • Gateshead /Guisborough Town v York City
  • Marine v Wrexham
  • Oxford United v Basingstoke Town
  • Sileby Rangers v Rushden & Diamonds
  • Stamford AFC v Mansfield Town
