Jake Thomson is bidding to hold down a regular place in the Trinidad & Tobago national side after making his debut at the weekend.
A graduate of Southampton’s Apprenticeship programme, the 20 year old recently pledged his allegiance to the Soca Warriors after impressing at the Under-20 World Cup and played the full 90 minutes at right full back role against Costa Rica.
Trinidad are already looking beyond next year’s World Cup in South Africa after going into last night’s final qualification game against Mexico as the bottom placed team in their group.
The game saw Thomson make a second appearance for Trinidad in a creditable 2-2 draw, he was originally recommended to try out for the Soca Warriors by former Saints teammate Stern John.
