After been advised to meet a vascular surgeon from the knee specialist yesterday, Ed had made an appointment to meet a surgeon later on this afternoon. During the time up to the appointment I occupied myself with yet more re-hab work, consisting of a 30 minute bike workout and other various exercises designed to increase strength around the affected area.
After looking at the scans and being examined for another time! The surgeon gave his opinion that my arteries felt and looked healthy but he couldn’t explain the apparent small pool of blood around the artery. He felt that there was nothing serious happening in this popliteal fossa but he thought it will be best if I have an ultrasound scan to see if there was anything at all wrong with the artery (e.g. small holes, tears etc that could cause any bleeding).
