16 to 19 Tuition Fund

16 to 19 Tuition Fund

The Department for Education has announced funding to support students whose learning was disrupted by the COVID pandemic.

The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund is available to us for LFE’s CT Study Programme learners, in order to facilitate the provision of small group tuition.

The funding will be used to support students aged 16 to 19 in English and maths, where learning has previously been disrupted. The funding guidance indicates that the supported students must be on a 16 to 19 study programme and who have not achieved grade 5 or above in GCSE English and/or maths by age 16.

League Football Education has committed to use this small group tuition funding to mitigate against the impact of the pandemic on Study Programme learners. All sessions will be limited to a maximum of five students per group and will be prioritised based on the guidance released by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

The support will include GCSE exam re-sit preparation, Functional skills assessment preparation and bespoke subject support.
