Match: Stoke City Vs Bolton Wanderers
Turning up to the venue at the Lancashire F.A we could all see that the game was going to be a battle and nothing was going to be easy, as the conditions were very windy and wet. A the start of the game it was as everyone thought, the game was tight with both teams challenging hard for every ball but with no clear chances. As the first half progressed we began to play some good football on the deck when eventually an attack down the right flank resulted in Tom Thorley guiding the ball coolly into the top right hand corner from the edge of the box.
In the second half we continued where the first had left off with good football and fast attacks but this left us a little open at the back which caused for some good defending. The last 10 mintues we had our backs to the wall as Bolton pushed for an equaliser but through good defending and determination to keep a clean sheet we didn’t concede and held on for the three points.
