The next day we woke early for another training session on a fabulous pitch to try and put right the mistakes we had made in the game against Vitesse Arnhem. It was only a short recovery session followed by dinner due to the baking heat.
It was then to the activity of the day a bike ride as a team – this was an enjoyable experience for all of us, we got to ride around and see the countryside and cross the lake into another town.
The next day we trained again in the morning working on keeping possession and composure on the ball. After the session we visited the war museum which was an emotional experience as you got an account of what happened to Holland and Overloon during the war it was a difficult to see pictures of what actually happened in the concentration camps and seeing first hand real pictures of what happened and the way people were treated unjustly.
That night we had to pack our bags as we were moving hotels after our game against Fortuna Sittard. The game was a hard fought contest but a brace from Liam Davies secured the win for Tranmere and we kept our first clean sheet of the tour. The lads were all buzzing and over the moon with our first win.
