Addicks Prospect Pens New Deal

Charlton Athletic have confirmed that academy graduate Josh Laqeretabua has signed a new long-term contract at the club.

The 19-year-old, who joined Charlton at U9s level, has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the summer of 2028, with the option of a further year.

Discussing his extension, the defender said: “I’m delighted to sign a long-term deal with the club. I’ve been here since U9s and it’s been something I’ve been working towards since I signed my last contract.

“It’s nice to have a gaffer that takes you under his wing, puts faith in you and gives you opportunities. I’m just grateful that he’s been able to do that.”
