Blue Square North club Nuneaton Town have announced the signing of midfielder Sam Belcher from Wycombe Wanderers.
Belcher enjoyed a short spell in the Blue Square North last season at Hinckley United.
Hailing from Nuneaton, Belcher, who was an Apprentice at Wycombe has family links with the club with his grandfather being a former player.
“I see this as a real opportunity to both give myself a fantastic platform to play my part in pushing my home town club towards promotion,” said Belcher.
“I am young, hungry for success and want to be part of the club for a while, that’s why I have signed a long contract with Nuneaton.”
Manager Kevin Wilkin is also pleased to have the youngster on board; “Sam is a key signing,” he said.
“He has valuable experience in Blue Square Bet from last season has proven he is the real deal.”
“We have been following Sam for quite some time and he is an exciting addition to the squad.”
