Brentford have secured the services of Ethan Brierley from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old has penned a three-year contract with the West London club.
Brierley, who is an academy graduate at his boyhood club, will initially join up with Brentford’s B team.
Despite his side being relegated from the football league last season, Brierley still managed to flourish and was at many times a rare shining light for Rochdale in an otherwise difficult campaign.
Brentford B boss, Neil McFarlane, said: “We’re hugely excited to play a role in the next stage of his development. He is an all-round midfielder who will handle the ball and he’s somebody we will look to improve, as we do with all of the players who step foot in the building.”
