Fleetwood Town’s Pharrell Brown has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Brown, who has been a regular fixture for the U18s this season, has enjoyed an impressive campaign for the Lancashire side, catching the eyes of staff and supporters alike. The attacker has also broken into the first-team set up recently after impressing senior boss, Scott Brown.

Jack Higgins, Fleetwood Town Academy Manager, said: “It’s been a pleasure to watch Pharrell grow over the past two seasons as a scholar; his journey with us has had some high and low moments and all goes towards developing him as a player and a young man.

“He is a gifted footballer with strong family support, and we are really proud to be able to offer him a professional contract at Fleetwood Town – we are really looking forward to seeing what he can achieve next season.”

Mark Yeates, Under-18s coach, added: “Pharrell is a player I have enjoyed working with since coming to the club; he has natural ability and shows bravery to always get on the ball and try to make things happen. He had standout performances this season most notably in The FA Youth Cup run against Middlesbrough scoring two and scoring the winner away at Bristol City.

“He’s a popular member of the squad and this was proven with him winning the Players Player of the Year Award. Not only did he have a great end to the season, but he’s also now been rewarded Pharrell with a professional contract and a first-team team debut which was a proud moment for himself his family & the club – we all look forward to seeing him develop next year.”
