Colchester United have announced the arrival of Tom Flanagan on a free transfer.
Flanagan, who was an LFE apprentice whilst coming through the ranks at MK Dons, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal at the Colchester Community Stadium following his departure from Shrewsbury Town.
The Northern Ireland international is Colchester’s ninth summer signing, with U’s boss Danny Cowley looking to revamp the squad following a narrow escape from relegation last season.
After penning his 12 month deal, the 32-year-old Flanagan said: “At my age, I want to finish up with a bit of success and enjoy my last few years. I wanted to do something I was going to enjoy, and I know I’m going to enjoy it here – I’m excited about the project.”
