Bournemouth have completed the signing of midfielder Lewis Cook from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee reported to be worth around an initial £6m rising to £10m.
The 19-year-old who was named as The Championship Apprentice of the Year in 2015 and collected the Football League young player of the year award in March has signed a four-year deal with the Cherries after the south coast club agreed a deal with Leeds.
Cook, arguably the hottest property in the Championship left the Whites’ pre-season tour of Ireland to undergo a medical at Dean Court at the end of last week.
Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: “We’re pleased to be bringing one of the country’s brightest prospects to the club.”
