Day 5 – Jack Russell! As If!

I think the only plus point of the running was that it had been chucking it down all week. Its a lot worse running in the sun than it is in the rain. This meant we couldn’t really play on the training ground pitches as they were drenched so we went up to Tulketh High School, which has all-weather pitches.

The club uses these facilities when the pitches at Springfield’s are unplayable. We played some mini league five-a-side matches without any keepers, unfortunately my team finished bottom without winning a game. I think it was probably because I was playing outfield. I worked with Dave again in the afternoon, this banter about my hair isn’t going away! I was now being likened to the former England wicket keeper Jack Russell. Lonners said all I need to do was grow a moustache!
