Defender Tripp Extends Dons Stay

MK Dons announced last week that young defender Callum Tripp had signed a new deal at Stadium MK.

Tripp, who was named LFE League Two Apprentice of the Year last season, has made real strides in the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign, appearing five times for the first team. He was also recently named MK Dons’ Player of the Month for September.

After putting pen to paper, Tripp said: “I’m just buzzing to get it over the line, I’ve been at the club since I was 8 or 9, so I’m just absolutely over the moon. I’d like to thank the club and my family for everything they do for me, and I’ve just got to keep on pushing now. I know the place inside and out, to be honest, I’ve been here so long! I love the club and I love the fans, and we all want to get promoted, that’s the goal.”

MK Dons boss Scott Lindsey added: “I really like him, I’ve had the chance to watch him in training and a lot of his games before coming in, and I was really impressed. He can play in midfield, I think he can play as a wing-back, and of course, he’s been playing in his position of right-sided centre-back. I think he’s done very well, he’s extremely comfortable on the ball, I like him a lot, and his attitude has been great.”
