Duo Join Hinckley

Two former Apprentices have signed for Blue Square Bet North Club Hinckley United.

Midfielders Jacob Blackwell and Lloyd Kerry join the Club as Manager Dean Thomas adds to his squad for the new season.

Blackwell is 18 years old and was an Apprentice at Coventry City last season while Kerry has made over forty League appearances for Chesterfield after joining them from Sheffield United.

A combative, box-to-box midfielder, born in Chesterfield, Kerry had a spell on loan at Torquay United in 2007 that ended prematurely when he injured a foot and then with Hinckley’s league rivals Alfreton Town last term.

Thomas said:

“Jacob has lots of potential and pace and Lloyd is energetic, a good passer and can play anywhere across the midfield.”

“We will hopefully sign two or three more players before the start of the season – a forward, a centre half and or a wide player.”
