EFL Awards | LFE Apprentice of the Season 2025

Nominations for the 2025 LFE Apprentice of the Season Award are now being accepted by The EFL.

Each club is invited to nominate one outstanding apprentice player, and the nominations will be considered on a divisional basis, with a winner identified in each division.

This award aims to recognise outstanding young players who excel both on and off the pitch, so clubs are encouraged to consider all aspects of the player’s development when considering making a nomination. Players registered as a first-year or second-year scholar, or as a first-year professional (if he started on an apprenticeship contract and then converted at 17 to a pro contract) are eligible for this award.

The EFL Awards evening will be held at the London Hilton Hotel on Sunday 27 April 2025. Nomination forms have been sent out by The EFL to all academies and can also be downloaded here. Once the form is completed, either email the form together with supporting information to Pauline Hothersall phothersall@efl.com or upload all documents onto your club folder on the Portal. Details of where to upload have been sent to Academy Managers.

Please note the deadline to submit nominations is Friday 14 March 2025.

If you have any questions regarding the form, the award or your academy has not received the email, please contact Pauline Hothersall.
