Esse Making His Mark

Esse Making His Mark

Millwall youngster and former LFE apprentice Romain Esse continued his fine start to the season last night by scoring the winning goal in the Lions’ 1-0 win at home to Plymouth Argyle.

His goal in the 13th minute of the contest was his third of the season in the Championship, bettering last season’s total already after just 11 games. The win for Millwall moved Neil Harris’ side up to 13th in the table.

Speaking to Millwall TV after the game, Esse said: “I’m just focused in training and listening to the gaffer, just trying to improve day in, day out. Even though they know what I can do, I’m just always trying to be the best. I feel like I have always got something to prove, so I have just got to keep going.”
