Hereford Sign West Brom Duo

West Bromwich Albion duo Paul Downing and Lateef Elford-Alliyu have joined Hereford United on loan.

The teenage pair have been regular fixtures in the Baggies’ Under-18 and Reserve sides, but will now spend an initial month at Edgar Street.

West Brom Academy Coach Keith Downing, told the Club’s official website:

“This is really pleasing news because it’s the next part of their development. This is now a real chance for them to learn the game at the sharp end when it’s win at all costs.”

Sporting and Technical Director, Dan Ashworth added:

“Hereford are a good Club and we know the players will be coached and treated well. They’ve both got a good mentality and have bright futures in the game.”

Both signings are still subject to Football League approval.
