Ipswich Town produced a trio of goals to defeat Arsenal in Saturday’s Academy League match.
Two goals from Connor Wickham (pictured) and one from Ronan Murray helped Town come from behind to clinch a 3-2 victory over the Gunners.
Steve Bould’s side took the lead in the early stages of the match via Conor Henderson but the Suffolk team levelled shortly after through midfielder Ronan Murray.
However, it was the second half that brought the majority of the action. Connor Wickham put Town ahead displaying strength and skill before slotting the ball into the bottom left corner to make the score 2-1.
The Tractor Boys suffered a blow mid-way throught the second half when Daniel Boateng was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
Despite having only 10 men on the field the Blues extended their lead to 3-1 after Connor Wickham scored his second of the match. Jernade Meade’s strike five minutes from time was only a consolation and Arsenal could not find the equaliser.
