Match: Preston North End U18 v Bury U18
Wednesday was match day, the quarter final for the Lancashire FA Youth Cup and league leaders Bury were the opponents. The game was delayed by 45 minutes due to a nasty accident on the M61. When the game did eventually kick off, it started at a frantic pace and Bury got a dubious penalty which they converted to make it 1-0. However, we equalised through Ash Higgins to make it 1-a-piece. Bury once again took the lead shortly after when they capitalised on Dom Collins being down in the box.
The second half was even but towards the end we started to dominate, both the Bury keeper and Tommo made some good saves. Nonetheless, we equalised through a Mark Bloxham header which took it to penalties. Tommo made two great saves and Nathan, Mike and Ash tucked away their penalties away to give us victory and seal our place in the semi final.
