Today is our last game of the regular season and is by far the most important game as we meet the team who are top of the league – Kvarnsvedens – who won the league last Sunday.
However, we’re currently in third position and still have a chance of getting into second place and going into the play offs. Hillie, the team in second, have to lose or draw for us to have any chance of finishing second and we have to win or draw.
We only managed a draw last week, but if we had won we would be in second and would only need a draw today to get into the play offs. It has been a really exciting end to the season, which will hopefully have a happy ending.
Yesterday Callum and me decided to go swimming in Fransta as a way to relax and prepare for today’s game. When I go home I plan on taking up swimming as it’s a good way to keep up my fitness. Lloyd and Ryan decided not to come, because they weren’t feeling well and Lloyd’s shoulder was still hurting him.
On Wednesday Greger the Club Chairman invited us to have dinner with the sponsors at a sports bar in Sundsvall and go and watch Sundsvall play Gavel after. Unfortunately Gavel won but it was a good game and it was great to watch football and have a nice meal.
One of the sponsors was a Gavel fan, so he was happy with the result but was attracting some unwanted attention when he celebrated the goal and was cheering for his team. Haha, it was all in good spirit but Sundsvall now lie in the plays off to get relegated into the Suprettan (the Swedish second division). Wish us luck in our game today.
