On Monday we had two new lads join us called Callum and Ryan from Bristol and Bradford. They are much need additions to the squad and hopefully they can do well and help us fight for promotion.
I think anyone coming to Ange from a big city will take a while to settle in, I know I did. Me and Lloyd both noticed after being home for a while that Ange seems even quieter, if that was possible, and there appears to be fewer cars on the road than when we left!
Today is our first league game after the break and I think it could be one of our toughest tests of the season so far. One of our central defenders is suspended and in the weeks leading up to the break he had become really important to us and was playing really well.
Today we are playing the team we beat 1-0 in our last game before the break so I hope we can have a repeat result. However, I remember them putting us under a lot of pressure in the last 20 minutes of the game and us having to do some last ditch defending to get all three points.
One of our team-mates has offered to take us wake-boarding on Sunday on the lake in Ange which is something I’ve always wanted to try. However, Lloyd loves to remind me how big the fish he caught was and how sharp pike’s teeth can be, so I’m a bit apprehensive about doing it now!
On the other hand our team-mate Jonny does it a few times a week and he’s never been bitten! …I’ll let you know how it goes next time.
