Macclesfield Town Secure Bolton Signature

Macclesfield Town have handed a professional contract to young defender James Bolton.

The centre-back has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Silkmen, who are currently battling against relegation from League Two.

The 17-year hails from nearby Stone is yet to make his first-team debut for the club.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “The Silkmen are delighted to have secured the signature of the promising centre-back, who has featured in 10 of the club’s 11 reserve games this season, and has even attracted serious interest from the Premier League.”
