2nd Year Apprentice Curtis Main pressed his claims for a first team recall with two goals for Darlington’s U18’s as they recorded a 4 – 0 victory over Burton Albion in the Youth Alliance on Saturday.
With the game taking place at the Northern Echo Arena a handful of spectators took advantage of the free admission to watch the youngsters put in a good display against the east midlanders.
It was however, Main, that caught the eye with a double in front of First Team Boss Colin Todd and Chariman Raj Singh.
Sam Lomas and Alex Robinson added the other goals and Youth boss Craig Liddle was keen to praise his young guns, talking to the club website he said;
“It was a very good performance, and it gave the lads some experience of playing at the Arena. They played some good football, and scored some good goals.”
