Mental Health Awareness Week - Anxiety

Mental Health Awareness Week – Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all but sometimes it can grow out of control and exist as a mental health problem.

Many things can lead to feelings of anxiety, including exam pressures, relationships, starting a new role or dealing with big life events. We can also become anxious when it comes to things to do with money and not being able to meet our basic needs with food or comforts.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems we can face and on a positive note, anxiety can be made easier to manage.

Focusing on anxiety for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week will increase people’s awareness and understanding of anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem. At the same time, we can all help to raise awareness and improve mental health within society as a whole.

If you need support with managing your mental health, you can find a range of support organisations and service here.
