Middlesbrough starlets James Cook and Liam Hegarty have both signed professional deals with the club.
The duo are among a quintet of youngsters to agree professional terms at the Riverside in recent weeks.
Fellow second year apprentices Marcus Tavernier, Ben Liddle and Mitchell Curry had already committed their futures to Boro.
Centre-back, Cook is the current skipper of Boro’s Under-18 team while full-back Hegarty, who has represented Scotland at youth level, is also a regular for Craig Liddle’s side.
