Murphy Pens New Deal

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Luke Murphy has signed a new contract keeping him at Gresty Road for another two years.

The 21 year old, who has scored three goals in 21 appearances so far this season put pen to paper on a new deal after opening talks with Dario Gradi and the Club last week.

Murphy’s contract was due to expire at the end of this season but his consistent performances for the first team has seen him agree new terms to remain at the Club.

Murphy progressed through the Academy ranks to sign his first professional deal in 2008. He made his debut in December of that year against Swindon Town and briefly captained the side against Millwall in the FA Cup.
