Former LFE apprentice Jaden Philogene has resigned for Aston Villa less than 12 months after departing Villa Park for EFL Championship side Hull City.
The England U21 winger, who was part of Villa’s 2019-21 apprenticeship cohort, has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract in a deal worth £18m.
Philogene made just six appearances for the Premier League side during his first spell at the club after progressing through the Club’s Academy at Bodymoor Heath.
He scored 12 goals in 32 matches for Hull City last season as the Tigers narrowly missed out on the play offs, finishing 7th.
Speaking after signing, Philogene said: “It feels amazing, back at home basically. It feels good. Unai (Emery) spoke to me and we had a good conversation about me and my playing time.”
