As part of National Careers Week, Bristol Rovers Community Organisation is celebrating the success of second-year student Alfie Brown, who has taken a significant step in his coaching journey by securing a position within the Bristol Rovers Academy.
Alfie recently applied for an internship with the Club’s Foundation Phase, which focuses on developing young footballers aged 9-12 years old. Following a successful interview, he is now actively involved in training sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as matchdays on Sundays. His role allows him to support a range of age groups, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in an elite football environment.
Looking ahead, Alfie is eager to progress through his coaching badges and hopes to continue his education by enrolling in the BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Development degree at Bristol Rovers Community Organisation. His ambition and dedication make him a fantastic role model for current and future students looking to carve out a career in football coaching.
Jimmy Lee, Head of Education at Bristol Rovers Community Organisation, praised Alfie’s achievements, stating “Alfie’s progression into the Bristol Rovers Academy is a fantastic example of how our education programmes open doors for aspiring sports professionals. His hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn have set him on an exciting career path. We’re incredibly proud of him and look forward to seeing his journey continue.”
