Peterborough United have signed Carl Johnston from League Two side Fleetwood Town, with the full-back making his debut for the Posh in their defeat at Wrexham on Saturday.
Johnston, a former apprentice who came through the ranks at Fleetwood, made 110 appearances for the Cod Army. He’s also a Northern Ireland U21 international.
Discussing Johnston’s move to London Road before the weekend’s game at Wrexham, Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson said: “He is a defender who can play in a number of different positions and is a player I have been aware of for some time now.
“He marked Ephron Mason-Clark when we played Fleetwood and didn’t give him a kick.”
