Eighteen-year-old defender Jayden Bogle has committed his long-term future to Derby County by penning a four-year contract.
The young full-back has impressed during the early stages of the season, making eight appearances for Frank Lampard’s side, including their recent penalty shoot-out Carabao Cup victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Bogle is the third Academy graduate to sign new terms already this term, with Luke Thomas and Max Lowe also extending their stays at Pride Park.
Lampard told the club website: “Jayden has really grasped his opportunity and deserves this new contract.
“From the first day of pre-season training, he has really impressed us. He has been a joy to coach and manage from my point of view; he has been brilliant and shown great maturity.
“I’m delighted for him and he is also a great advert for this club’s Academy and the younger players within it.”
Bogle added: “I’m really happy to sign this new contract. I’ve enjoyed every single moment of my time here so far and I’m excited for the future.
“Hopefully this is just the start for me. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given by this club and I am determined to keep working hard to improve as a player.”
