Rooks Return For Ben Godfrey

Former Charlton Athletic youngster Ben Godfrey has returned to Ryman League Premier Division club Lewes for his second spell at the Dripping Pan.

Godfrey originally signed for ex-Rooks boss Tim O’Shea a couple of seasons ago, scoring four goals in nine appearances in an injury hit spell at the club.

The striker, who has also played for Croydon Athletic after starting out at the Valley, returned for the Rooks in Sunday’s FA Trophy tie against Lowestoft Town and scored the only goal of the game as Lewes progressed in to the next round of the competition.
